Yerushalayim, Elul 5772, Yeshivat Noam Hatorah was established, with a vision to produce, true, wholesome, lifetime Bnei Torah. Looking back at the past decade, our reputation has proven that our vision has become reality.
Mission
Yeshivat Noam HaTorah was instituted in Elul 5772 - 2012, impacting the Torah world in a profound way. Under the Guidance of the Rosh Hayeshiva Harav Dovid Amon Shlit”a, and with the help of its esteemed Rebbeim and Magidei Shiurim Shlit”a, the Yeshivah has produced tens of wholesome Bnei Torah who are a pride and joy to Klal Yisroel. In Yeshiva, the bachurim are given the requisite tools to succeed in their learning and to develop sterling middot. The Yeshiva is renowned for its warm and growing atmosphere. The Rosh Hayeshiva together with the Rebbeim put a very strong emphasis that every single bachur, without exception, who enters the doors of the Yeshiva should be matzliach in bringing out his full potential.
The Rosh HaYeshiva
Noam HaTorah is privileged to be guided by the esteemed Rosh HaYeshiva, HaRav Dovid Amon Shlit”a. Born in America and raised in Lakewood, NJ, Rav Amon learned in Yeshiva of Staten Island. There, he developed a very close connection with HaGaon HaRav Reuven Feinstein Shlit”a, from whom he gained much Torah knowledge. Thereafter, upon the behest of Rav Reuven Feinstein Shlit”a, he went to learn in Yeshivat Mir Yerushalayim under the leadership of HaGaon HaRav Nosson Tzvi Finkel Zt”l. In the Mir, he gained a lot from the esteemed Rabbis, namely Rav Finkel and Rav Asher Arielli Shlit”a. After learning by Rav Asher, he joined a Halacha Chaburah in the Mir. There, he achieved proficiency in Halacha and received semicha from HaGaon HaRav Zalman Nechemya Zt”l. At that point, HaGaon HaRav Nosson Tzvi Finkel Zt”l requested that he lead a Chaburat Shas of avreichim in Yeshivat Mir. Rav Amon acceded to his request, and served as a beloved Rosh Chaburah for ten years. While leading the Chaburah, he simultaneously served “shimush” in P’sak Halacha by HaGaon HaRav Yitzchok Berkovitz Shlit“a. Upon the recommendation of various Gedolai Yisroel, including Hagaon Harav Asher Arieli, Hagaon Harav Yitzchok Berkovitz Shlit”a, and with the encouragement and blessings of Rav Chaim Kanievsky Zt”l, and HaGaon HaRav Dovid Abuchatzeira Shlit”a, Rav Amon established Yeshivat Noam HaTorah, which he continues to guide and lead with much success
